A receding horizon event-driven control strategy for intelligent traffic management

Abstract In this paper, the intelligent traffic management within a smart city environment is addressed by developing an ad-hoc model predictive control strategy based on event-driven formulation. To end, constrained hybrid system description considered for safety verification purposes and low-demanding receding horizon controller then derived exploiting set-theoretic arguments. Simulations are performed train-gate benchmark to show effectiveness benefits of proposed methodology.
